Last week, AIA lead Rob Miller spoke at the UK Manufacturing Forum hosted at Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) on the importance of whole systems modelling in understanding how innovative tech can accelerate the path to net zero. Rob presented the AIA’s whole systems model of the aviation sector, running a transatlantic flight in 2035 through the simulator. This demonstrates the value of the AIA’s model in simulating technologies, routes, and fuels of the future, to demonstrate the resource requirements and climate impact of possible scenarios at a systems level.
Rob Miller said “Providing innovators with an understanding of how their technology can unlock whole systems change is a key to accelerating the path to net zero”
